Traditions
Every family has them but each one has a different way of doing things. Several examples of these will show up in my immediate family's discussions.
Food
If you ask any Swain, you'll find out just how much we love food. We have such a diverse group of members that meal time is sacred. Preparing and making food for our loved ones is necessary and our language of love.
Music
Our family has such an eclectic set of music tastes. We know songs from almost every decade...if not all. We also have several family members who aew able to play instruments, sing, and dance. It's become our very own language/ our way of communicating with one another
Religion
Not everyone is religious but my family happens to be both religious and spiritual. Religion gave us faith, strength, structure, and definitely played a role to how we naviagte through blessings, downfalls, and life in general.
