I graduated in Spring, May 2020 while majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Afro-American studies. I am from Skillman, New Jersey but attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. I have held several leadership positions at Howard, including President of The New Jersey Club, Reporter for Spotlight (WHUT) a PBS owned station in Washington, D.C., The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), and was an ambassador for the NBCUniversal Adopt-A-Team Professional Development Program.
I was a Diversity and Inclusion Fellow at NBCUniversal the Summer of 2018, and worked briefly as a Production Intern for the Multimedia Correspondents Association (MMCA) after my ABC Good Morning America Production Summer 2019 Internship in Manhattan, New York. I was a magazine writer for my Howard University Magazine (Magazine 101) and was a NewsVision member who has taken on roles such as a one-man-band reporter, editor, writer, director, technical director, anchor, stage manager, etc.
I worked at Fox News Media on their national channel while serving in the booking department as a Freelance Guest Greeter. I also received a National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Student Production Award Emmy for Serious News Spring '20 Covid19 Special Report along with four other classmates where we reported COVID:19 happenings from states across the world.
Presently I work at CBS19 News in Charlottesville, Virginia as a Morning Producer on their Good Morning Charlottesville show from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00a.m. I have produced over one hundred shows while also producing, editing, and shooting stories of my own. I have gained a lot of wonderful skills that will help me to achieve my current aspirations: running a production department and creating a positive and informative presence within the media-driven world.
