A proud Jersey girl and Howard University alumna, Tatiana Swain graduated in May 2020 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Afro-American Studies. While at Howard, she wore many hats—serving as President of The New Jersey Club, reporting for Spotlight (WHUT), a PBS-owned station in D.C., being active in the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), and representing the NBCUniversal Adopt-A-Team Professional Development Program as an ambassador. Her media journey began with a Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship at NBCUniversal in Summer 2018.

 

She later interned with the Multimedia Correspondents Association (MMCA) and spent a memorable summer as a production intern at Good Morning America in Manhattan. At Howard, she contributed to Magazine 101 and was part of NewsVision, where she gained hands-on experience as a reporter, editor, writer, anchor, director, and more.After graduation, she joined Fox News Media as a Freelance Guest Greeter in the booking department and was part of a team that earned a National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Student Production Award Emmy for their COVID-19 Special Report in Spring 2020.

 

She later took her talents to CBS19 News in Charlottesville, Virginia, producing Good Morning Charlottesville and CBS19 News at 4, where she produced over 100 shows and often edited and shot her own stories.

 

Currently, she works at CBS2 News in New York—at the number one news market—serving as a Morning Producer/Writer for early morning newscasts and special features like Class Act, which highlights schools in the tri-state area. She also produces weekend segments focusing on community topics like book bans and back-to-school support efforts

 

 Over the years, she’s built a strong foundation in storytelling, leadership, and live production—and she’s just getting started. Her goal? To one day lead a production department and make a lasting impact by creating thoughtful, engaging content that informs and inspires.
